Rey-Philip Genaldo, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), currently serves as the Clinical Program Director for Mission Prep Rancho Palos Verdes. Prior to his role as clinical program director, Rey-Philip was the clinical director of the AMFM adult residential program. Prior to that, Rey lived in the several different countries as an English teacher before settling in San Francisco for ten years as a graduate-level English literature and writing professor as well as a mentor in a college program designed to assist students struggling to keep up with school and life expectations. His time as a teacher and mentor helped pave the way for Rey-Philip to realize his true passion: to directly support people struggling with their mental health. Rey-Philip’s clinical expertise is based on the client-centered Existential modality, as well as a truly trauma-focused lens (CCTP), having worked extensively with PTSD in the first responder community. Rey-Philip’s training also includes CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR.
