FAQs About Our Residential Treatment Center for Adolescent Males in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

If appropriate for the teen’s treatment, personal cell phone usage is allowed under supervision during sessions with a clinical team member and during specialized “Tech Time” clinical groups. Uniquely, our program teaches healthy moderation rather than strictly banning technology. Clients also have daily access to a house landline for 10-minute calls to approved contacts during non-programming times.

We recommend that you pack light; all personal belongings must fit within the teen’s designated personal space. Teens are allowed to bring a cell phone and charger, and personal instruments (such as a guitar), which can be stored and checked out. Smoking and vaping are not permitted for adolescent clients, but nicotine patches and gum can be made available with provider approval to support cessation.

Because this is a 24/7 residential mental health facility, clients are supervised at all times by qualified personnel like behavioral health technicians, therapists, clinical mentors, and other licensed team members.

At this program, we offer weekly visitation and family support services. On-site family visits occur every Sunday between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and 30-minute remote visits can also be arranged during this time.

We also offer a bi-weekly tailored family program (first half guardians only, second half includes the client, with a remote option), and a weekly Family Support Group every Wednesday.

After your initial assessment, our team will have a better idea of the best level of care to meet your mental health needs.
