Mission Prep Teen Treatment’s California locations allow families to access specialized teen mental health care services across two of Southern California’s largest regions.

In San Diego County, our residential programs include locations in Fallbrook and Bonsall, serving families throughout North County San Diego and surrounding communities. Our Los Angeles County locations in Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates provide additional access to residential teen mental health treatment for families throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

ABOUT OUR ADOLESCENT RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER IN CALIFORNIA

Our adolescent residential treatment centers in Los Angeles County and San Diego County provide safe, structured, and supportive environments where teens can step away from everyday stressors and focus on their mental health.

From our Fallbrook and Bonsall locations in North San Diego County to our Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates locations in Los Angeles County, our residential programs provide individualized support designed around each teen’s clinical, emotional, social, and educational needs. 

Here’s how Mission Prep is redefining adolescent mental health treatment in California and beyond:

  • Gender-Specific Housing: We provide gender-specific and gender-inclusive housing to create a safe and affirming environment for all teens.
  • Transportation Services: We offer transportation for clients as needed/requested for intake and discharge. Guardians may use LAX or Long Beach Airport.
  • Hospital Affiliations: We collaborate with reputable hospitals, including Del Amo Hospital, Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health, and UCI Psychiatric Hospital.
  • 6-Bed Houses: Double occupancy with personal space. Teens can bring a cell phone, charger, and instruments like guitars.

OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM DETAILS

Our Southern California teen residential treatment centers include locations in Fallbrook and Bonsall in San Diego County, as well as Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates in Los Angeles County. Each residential setting is designed to provide teens with a comfortable, supportive environment where they can focus on healing and personal growth.

SPECIALIZED GROUPS

Specialized groups include biweekly family programming sessions, weekly Rock to Recovery sessions, Nutrition sessions, and Yoga classes. Additionally, we provide weekly Gardening Group sessions. We also have a full-time art therapist, who offers group and individual sessions.

EXPERIENTIAL OUTINGS

We offer bi-weekly surf therapy sessions, monthly skateboarding groups, and frequent experiential outings throughout the week. Additionally, clients have the opportunity to participate in 1-2 client choice outings weekly, which may include activities such as movies, go-karting, beach trips, or visits to the arcade.

EXERCISE AND WELLNESS

We prioritize the physical well-being of our clients through a structured fitness program. We offer 1-2 sessions of personal training and boxing each week, a weekly yoga class, and daily access to our in-house gym under supervision during non-programming hours.

THERAPY SERVICES

We provide 2 individual therapy sessions, 1 family therapy session. and 2 clinical mentor sessions per week. For those with an interest in art therapy, 1 individual session per week is available if clinically appropriate. Furthermore, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is offered.

HOW WE ENSURE SUPPORT AND ACCESSIBILITY

Our program includes a bi-weekly tailored family program, family support group every Wednesday, and Sunday visits deemed medically, clinically, or legally necessary. At our California inpatient mental health facility, we also ensure support and accessibility through:

  • Staff Availability: Our dedicated team includes a Program Manager, Family Therapist, Case Manager, and Experiential Supervisor, ensuring support and communication with parents/guardians.
  • Phone Calls: Approved contacts can receive 10-minute daily calls from the house line during non-programming times.
  • Cell Phone and Laptop Usage: Allowed under supervision during appropriate sessions and specialized Tech Time clinical groups.

Supplements are only permitted if deemed medically necessary and approved by a psychiatrist through a medical order at Mission Prep.
