Sharice Hawthorne is a Clinical Mentor at Mission Prep, where she provides individualized support to clients by guiding them toward achieving their goals. In her role, she meets with clients weekly to develop SMART goals and facilitates discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and long-term success. Sharice holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Kentucky. She is deeply passionate about working with adolescents and is committed to helping teenagers find their voice as they navigate the complex transitional period of growth, choices, and self-identity. Sharice takes a creative approach to client care, emphasizing rapport building and empowerment, and incorporates therapeutic activities that align with clients’ strengths and interests to foster resilience, self-discovery, and lasting change. In addition to her work with adolescents, Sharice has a diverse background supporting individuals across the lifespan, including college students, veterans with PTSD, and adults experiencing serious mental illness. Her professional experience includes facilitating CBT and DBT groups, leading veteran support groups, and providing walk-in crisis intervention services. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her cat, Gary, and being with family and friends.
