Rebecca Beckwith holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. As a Primary Therapist at Mission Prep, Rebecca walks with adolescents and their families, providing a safe space to process and navigate life’s challenges. Rebecca provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Rebecca uses a spectrum of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, role playing, and various mindfulness techniques. Rebecca strives to meet adolescents where they are at, finding creative ways to connect with them, and empowering them to meet their goals and strengthen their sense of self through utilizing healthy coping skills and learning how to process information in healthy ways. Rebecca has experience in addressing various concerns including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, trauma and PTSD, suicidal ideation, and related mental health issues. Outside of her professional pursuits, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing, playing piano, and trying new food spots!
