Britney is originally from Santa Ana, California and completed her Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton. Directly after completing her undergraduate degree, Britney went on to complete her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families from the University of Southern California. During her graduate studies, Britney gained field experience through School-based social work by supporting and preparing pre-K–12 students to overcome mental health and external factors that hinder their ability to succeed in school. Her graduate research focused on the impacts of ACES on unaccompanied minors and systemic barriers to mental health services and higher education for child and adolescents in the child welfare system. While completing her graduate degree, she continues to work for the Los Angeles County Forensic Center for Elder Abuse as a Service Advocate on a multidisciplinary team supporting the Geriatric Population experiencing abuse and neglect. With 8 years of professional and direct field experience, Britney is eager to provide her knowledge, skillset, and experience to support clients and families with evidence-informed interventions and evidence-based practices such as Individual-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
