At Mission Prep’s mental health center in Virginia, we offer a variety of specialized activities to cater to the unique needs of teenagers dealing with mental health challenges.
Our specialized groups encompass biweekly Family Programming sessions, weekly Rock to Recovery sessions, Nutrition sessions, and Yoga classes. Additionally, we conduct weekly Gardening Group sessions, facilitated by a dedicated full-time art therapist who conducts multiple group and individual sessions each week.
Bi-weekly surf therapy sessions, monthly skateboarding groups, and frequent experiential outings throughout the week are part of our offerings. Clients also have the opportunity to choose 1-2 client outings weekly, ranging from activities like movies, go-karting, beach trips, to visits to the arcade.
Prioritizing the physical well-being of our clients, our structured fitness program includes 1-2 sessions of personal training and boxing each week, a weekly yoga class, and daily access to our in-house gym under supervision during non-programming hours.
We provide 2 individual therapy sessions, 1 family therapy session, and 2 clinical mentor sessions per week. For those interested in art therapy, 1 individual session per week is available if clinically appropriate. Additionally, we offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Supplements are allowed exclusively if they are deemed medically necessary and endorsed by a psychiatrist through a medical order at Mission Prep.
