Christine Patrikian

Christine Patrikian is a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) at Mission Prep. She received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and then went on to California State University, Northridge to complete schooling for Music Therapy. Christine completed her clinical internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and worked with a variety of different patients to help with pain perception and different social emotional needs. After internship, Christine completed training through studying Music and the brain to become a Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). Outside of Music Therapy, Christine is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) as well as a seasoned kickboxing instructor. She also loves rock climbing and weight lifting.
At Mission Prep, Christine leads Music Therapy group sessions which include music listening, lyric analysis, creative arts to music, drum circles and more. She also leads movement sessions that focus on using movement for mental and physical wellness. Finally, Christine provides individual Music Therapy sessions where clients can create their own music, use music for coping or talk about how they relate certain music to their personal goals or struggles.
