“Kayla Kamego (she/her) began her journey with Mission Prep as a community coordinator and has now stepped into the role of Residential Supervisor for the Harborview House. Kayla obtained her Bachelors Degree of Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan before moving to California. She enjoys spending time with her partner, their fur-babies (Buddie and Millie) and watching the beautiful Southern California sunsets.
Kayla started her social work career supporting adolescent boys living in residential foster care which lead to a role working directly with DCFS to support families with re-unification and family preservation. Before coming to Mission Prep, Kayla worked as a social worker in a medical clinic providing case management services to familes seeking mental and behavioral health services. Kayla has a strong passion for working with youth and their families that are experiencing difficult times. She brings her years of experience, kindness, and positive energy every day that she shows up for the clients and staff here at Mission Prep. “
