Samantha Avila has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse specializing in behavioral health for over eight years. Her background includes working with at-risk youth and working closely with physicians monitoring patients' treatment, care plans, and providing medical care during emergencies in outpatient settings. With over a year at Mission Prep she believes in building a safe environment for all clients to feel supported during their stay. She believes holistic nursing is essential and can lead clients to feel more in control of their health which in turn then begins engagement in their treatment and better understanding of their conditions.

Sam is a proud Latinx in healthcare who is in pursuit of obtaining her RN,BSN. When she is not working, Sam loves to relax by taking strolls on the beach with her wife and their Frenchie.
