Samantha Avila

Sam Avila is the National Nurse Supervisor for Mission Prep Healthcare, overseeing nursing services across regions. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse with over eight years of experience in behavioral health, she has a strong background working with at-risk youth, collaborating with physicians on treatment and care plans, and providing medical support during emergencies in both outpatient and residential settings. In her role, she leads and supports nursing teams across multiple regions while helping create safe, structured environments for adolescents in care. Sam is a proud Latina who cherishes her roots and brings that perspective to her work in healthcare. She earned her Associate’s Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Arizona State University before graduating from nursing school. She is currently pursuing her BSN to further expand her role in healthcare. She believes holistic nursing empowers clients to take ownership of their health, engage in treatment, and gain a deeper understanding of their conditions. Outside of her role, Sam enjoys sports, specifically Dodger baseball and 49ers football, along with quality time with her wife and their two French Bulldogs.
